• 30% of all patients seen presented with blood pressure-related conditions

• Glaucoma identified in multiple patients during routine eye screenings — first-time diagnoses in every community

• Sickle cell carriers identified: 6 children in Ekeoba, 3 in Isingwu, 10 in Nkata-Ibeku, 16 in Ogbuebulle — families counseled and results distributed

• CPR training conducted and return-demonstrated by community members in all 4 villages

• 56% of patients measured at Ndoro had Stage 2 hypertension or higher — 16 required immediate intervention for hypertensive crisis

• Eye care delivered across all 4 communities: 118 patients in Ndoro, 121 in Ekeoba, 138 in Afaraukwu, 108 in Okporo Ahaba

• Dental care introduced to mission programming for the first time — 22-29 patients per site

• First-ever DAISY Award ceremony held in Abia State — 4 nurses honored across 4 professional categories

• Formal MOU signed between NANNNA and the Abia State Government, witnessed by the Commissioner for Health and the Attorney General

• All 4 mission sites operated from NANNNA-renovated primary health centers

• BP machines, tracheostomy training kit, and surplus medications donated to Ikwuano Health Administrator for community distribution

• Sanitary pads distributed to teenage girls across all communities

• Total mission budget: $4,950 — raised entirely through diaspora donations and member self-funding

Consistently the leading chronic condition — often undiagnosed. Over 66% of adults 40+ screened in 2024 showed elevated BP. In 2026, 56% of those measured at Ndoro were Stage 2 or higher.

 Endemic throughout the region. Fever and plasmodiasis are the leading acute diagnoses in every community. 

Blood glucose testing surfaces newly diagnosed cases in every mission cycle. 

 Multiple patients receive a first-ever glaucoma diagnosis during mission eye screenings. High demand for reading glasses across all communities. 

Newborn screening identifies carriers and SS-positive cases, enabling early intervention and family counseling. 

PSA screening introduced in 2024 — 7.69% of men screened in 2026 required follow-up referral for high readings.
